Tuki flagged off a two days tracking expedition team led by MP Nabam Rebia
TORU, The former chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki on Tuesday morning has flagged off the two days Taa Shi- Budum Langney trekking expedition at Kheel. The expedition is led by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Nabam Rebia alongwith host of prominent Eversters of the state and others.
Addressing the team and locals, Tuki emphasis the youths to know our past and recalled the great grandfather and the activities being carried during such time when there were limited mode of transportation and communication, in spite of limited communication system and limited mode of transportation facility the local tribal and forefather has worked for the unity, integrity, peace, progress and development of area and community. Tuki said.
Our state has a vast potential for tourism development, apart from tourism development there is also a huge scope of promotion of various types of tourism which include adventure tourism, wellness tourism, eco tourism, film tourism, medical tourism and many more. Adding that it needs to be promoted so that these tourism potentials can be turned into economic sustainability and development and creating of various types of infrastructure which will also help in providing employment to locals. He said.
The Taa Shi- Budum Langney trekking route has historical and mythology of Tai Bida which need to be documented properly and preserved for further research and tourism promotion. Such tracking will help the area to become a tourist circuit. Toki added.
Tuki, Rebia and dignitaries also unveil the T-shirt and distribute it among the members of the tracking expedition.
Among other Sagalee ADC Toko Audil, Sagalee EAC, CO Toru, BJP Spokesman Nabam Vivek, ZPM Toru Taba Rama, Arunachal Pradesh Tour operator association (APTOA) President John Paney, several tour operator of Capital complex and Papum Pare district were present on the occasion. Most of them have also joined the two days expedition team.
