Tapir Gao appealed to the state government to book BRO Official
BRO Official responsible for defacing the Arunachal Pradesh name on MOD visit at Kimin, Gao said.
ITANAGAR, JUNE 21: The Arunachal East Member of Parliament Tapir Gao has demanded immediate action against the officers and official of BRO or who so ever responsible for defacing the name of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of visit of the Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh at Kimin in Papum Pare district on June 17.
Gao said that the covering of name of Arunachal Pradesh by white paper and showing of Kimin RTC which is well within in Papum Pare district as ‘Bilgarh’ in Assam is a great mistake and those officers and officials of Border Roads Organization (BRO) responsible for showing Kimin ADC headquarters in Papum Pare district as ‘Bilgarh’ in Assam and covering up Arunachal’s name with a white paste during Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s inauguration of the Kimin-Potin road should be booked under appropriate section of the law. Those officers have done crime and it is a blunder they have done and confusing the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. Gao said.
Gao said that there is such misunderstanding among the people of both state and everyone know that the Kimin is a part of Arunachal Pradesh and this is nothing but to create misunderstanding between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, and also may be to misguide the union defence minister, dignitaries of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam present over there during the inauguration ceremony and may be to get credit for the same and is an act of anti national and the officer held responsible should be taken to task as per law. Gao said.
While condemning the incident the MP Tapir Gao has condemned the act of pasting white paper and shows his serious concern and surprise of the action whoever has done and the incident need to unearth and necessary FUIR should be lodged for further action. Goa said.
The authority from the BRO should come up with a tender apology and also clarify through a press conference to the people of Arunachal Pradesh immediately. Gao added.
