ITANAGAR, AUGUST 12 ; The NPP state President and Roing MLA Mutchu Mithi on Thursday attended the inauguration of NPP at national capital New Delhi near the parliament in presence of top NPP leaders of the country.
Mithi along with other leaders of the NPP state unit took part in the inaugural ceremony held at 75th North Avenue Road at New Delhi adjacent to Parliament. Informed Mithi.
“ It is a happy moment that the NPP is the first North East region party to get its official allotted office by the government of India adjacent to parliament at New Delhi under the status as a national party”. He said.
“This office has been allocated after the NPP attained a National Status Party. It’s a first for any party in the North East to be declared a National Party.” Mithi said.
“ Having a national party office provided by the government of India in the national capital New Delhi is a symbolic message, it is a message that the North East now has its own national party and is an official voice of the people of North East at New Delhi”. Mithi said.
The party is ruling in Meghalaya and has in its alliance in Manipur and strong presence in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh and soon it is spreading its wings in other parts of the region and soon will go to other parts of the country. He added.
“ The NPP aspiration is regional but our ambition is national, we are working with regional aspiration and moving toward the national political arena for our regional aspirational activities”. He said.
We met several top leaders of NPP at the function, the party leader from state Jarpum Gamlin, Paknga Bage who also took part in an interaction program with and shared the issues of state. Mithi said.
Later the national committee meeting was held at the office wherein the National President Cornad sangma stated that it will foray Arunachal Pradesh aggressively and priority will be given to reach the people of Arunachal Pradesh. He added.
